Yes. Gritmax Group is positioned to undertake suitable projects in selected African countries. Each cross-border opportunity is assessed according to its scope, location, programme, local requirements, procurement conditions and mobilisation needs.

The Robust Building System uses lightweight steel-core panels manufactured and supplied by Robust. Gritmax erects the panels and applies the Robust building method to create a strong, continuous permanent wall. Finished walls are 100 mm internally and 130 mm externally, making the system suitable for security walls, houses, schools, accommodation, commercial and industrial buildings.

Robust is faster to erect, uses fewer workers and produces less material waste than conventional brickwork. Its continuous reinforced construction provides high resistance to structural cracking, while the lightweight panels are economical to transport, easy to handle and do not require a crane for installation.

Yes. Robust is a proven building system with an established scope of application, including boundary and security walls. It creates a continuous, reinforced wall that can be engineered for the required height, foundations, openings, entrances, finishes and site conditions. It is particularly well suited to residential estates, industrial premises, schools, institutions, farms and commercial properties requiring a substantial permanent perimeter.

Gritmax is a Robust Building System installation contractor. Robust manufactures and supplies the panels, which Gritmax installs using the Robust construction method, project-specific engineering and applicable specifications. Gritmax can also coordinate foundations, concrete, reinforcement, openings, interfaces, finishes and handover as part of the construction package.

Yes. Robust can be used for houses, schools, accommodation, shops, offices, commercial and industrial buildings. It can be designed as a load-bearing part of a building, while multi-storey applications can be incorporated within the building’s engineered structural frame.

Robust’s continuous, monolithic construction removes many of the joints and weak points where cracking commonly develops in brickwork and precast walling. The result is a strong permanent wall with high resistance to structural cracking.

Robust is more economical than conventional brick-and-mortar construction because it combines faster installation, lower labour requirements, reduced material waste and a shorter construction programme. It is also highly competitive for tall security and boundary walls. Large precast panels are heavy and expensive to transport, and their installation often requires a crane or other lifting equipment. Robust panels are lightweight, more economical to transport and can be handled and installed without a crane. This reduces transport, plant and installation costs while producing a strong, continuous reinforced wall.

Yes. Gritmax undertakes the civil, concrete, structural-steel and building works required for silo complexes and grain-handling facilities. Our scope can include silo foundations, bucket-elevator and intake pits, reinforced concrete aprons, industrial flooring, offices, workshops and associated buildings. Gritmax does not manufacture, supply or install grain bins, silos, conveyors, bucket elevators or other grain-handling equipment. These systems are provided and installed by specialist suppliers.

Gritmax undertakes the civil works required for standalone weighbridges and weighbridges incorporated into larger industrial or agricultural developments. Our scope can include excavation, layerworks, reinforced concrete foundations, ramps, aprons, drainage and associated civil construction. Gritmax does not supply, install or calibrate the weighing scale or its electronic equipment; these components are provided by a specialist weighbridge supplier.

Yes. Where appropriate, Gritmax can coordinate civil works, reinforced concrete, flooring, structural steel and associated building works under one project scope. This reduces coordination gaps and gives the client a clearer point of responsibility.

Yes. We construct industrial workshops and related facilities. Our completed Germiston project included a 40 × 30 metre workshop, offices, storerooms, ablution facilities, a service pit, industrial flooring, mezzanine slabs and plumbing works.
